An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
